Features

Everything for language progress — in one place

Flashcards, reviews, sets, progress. No clutter, no ads, no sign-up until you actually want one.

Spaced repetition

A word shows up right before you'd forget it. Every "I know it" pushes the next review further out — a day, three, a week, a month.

Drop in text — get a set of cards

A book, an article, a chat, a lecture transcript — hand it to Zunoku and in a minute you get a ready set: term, IPA, translation, example, and a note for each card.

  • Start free — welcome credits included, no key or setup
  • Top up credits as you go — the rest of the app stays free
  • Prefer your own key? BYOK — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — with no markup
How it works

Three steps to your first "I know it"

From "just opened it" to your first finished session — a couple of minutes. After that the card decides when to show itself again.

1

Pick or build a set

Take a ready-made one from the catalog, build it by hand, or ask AI to make a set from your text — in a minute.

2

Learn the cards

Swipe, type the translation, multiple choice. Different formats keep your attention and train different skills.

3

Come back on time

Zunoku works out when you should return to a card. A daily goal and gentle reminders — so you don't fall off.

FAQ

What people usually ask

Is it really free?

Yes. Flashcards, sets, reviews, and sync are free. AI generation starts on free welcome credits; when they run out, top up credits or connect your own key (BYOK).

Do I need to sign up?

No. In Telegram you sign in automatically. In the browser you can sign in with your Telegram account in one click — no registration form.

Which languages are supported?

Any. Cards are stored as "term ↔ definition" with no fixed pair, so you can learn any language from any other. We support 35+ languages today, and the catalog keeps growing.

What does BYOK mean?

Bring Your Own Key — an optional way to run AI on your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any OpenAI-compatible provider. We store the key encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and add no markup on BYOK: you pay the provider directly for actual usage.

Where is my data stored?

On our servers, so your progress syncs between the browser and Telegram. AI keys are kept encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and only reach the provider for the duration of a request. Your set content is yours — we don't share it.

How much does AI generation cost?

You start with free welcome credits. After that, AI generation runs on credits you top up — you pay per use, and everything else in the app stays free. Prefer your own key? With BYOK we add no markup at all.

How is Zunoku different from Anki or Quizlet?

Zunoku lives inside Telegram: no install, no sign-up, and review reminders arrive as messages. Unlike Anki, spaced repetition works out of the box — no decks to configure or plugins to install. Unlike Quizlet, there are no ads, and AI builds sets from your own text.
